1 Play Sports, a Singapore based OTT platform, has announced a new cooperation with Mediapro Asia to expand its business across the Asia Pacific. Mediapro Asia steps in as a partner, bringing in new production concepts, content creation ideas, and providing sponsorship sales support to 1 Play Sports across Asia.

On this association, 1 Play Sports’ Chief Executive, Mohit Lalvani said, “Knowing Mediapro Asia’s track record in sports, we are pleased to have entered into this partnership to expand the channel with them through
building content, increasing productions and growing sponsorships. We are very excited about growing 1 Play Sports for the Asian sports community and avid sports fans out there.”

In addition to providing full coverage of the Singapore Premier League Football, 1 Play Sports provides local amateur and junior sports with a platform to get exposure for their competitions; a community- or school tournament to be promoted, professionally produced and broadcasted LIVE both within the 1 Play Sports platform and via digital and social media. It is an excellent opportunity for advertisers and brands to reach relevant audiences online via FACEBOOK, Twitter, and Instagram and a channel block on SingTel Mio Sports.

1 Play Sports has quickly scaled to markets beyond Singapore and were broadcasters of 5 sports during the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines. Earlier, 1 Play Sports live-streamed the ASEAN SchoolsGames to all of SEA. In India, 1 Play Sports has developed ties with national sports federations and recently were the streaming partners of the U-13 Intercontinental Cup in Dubai in 2020.

Mediapro Asia, headquartered in Singapore, supports the Mediapro Group as the official TV- and media rights representatives of LaLiga, and also markets the Ladies European Golf Tour, the Asian Volleyball Championships, the Kooyong Classics Tennis event and ManCity TV across Asia Pacific. In 2019 Mediapro Asia marketed sponsorships for the South East Asian Games in the Philippines.

tournament across teams in Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia during this time.

This partnership aims to be a strategic one for 1 Play Sports, further its expansion into Pan-Asia, feature more sports content from around the region on the channel and bring in sponsors for the platform to generate more revenue.
