Adidas first began sponsoring Messi in 2006. In February 2017, the brand took this relationship a step further and signed a lifetime sponsorship deal with the Argentinian footballer. This means, as long as his football career is alive, Messi will have Adidas by his side.
Messi became the global brand ambassador of Huawei in March 2016. If reports are to be believed, the Chinese Telecommunications equipment company spent $6 million on this deal.
Lionel Messi was roped in as the brand ambassador of Qatar based international telecommunications company – Ooredoo in 2013.
