Ogilvy India and Pakistan’s co-creation for Peek Freans Cake Up

Peek Freans Cake Up is a cupcake brand of Pakistan made by the company – EBM. Recently Ogilvy India and Ogilvy Pakistan came together to conceptualise an ad film for this popular brand. The advert which is also being circulated on Pakistani television was shot by an Indian Production House by the name of Curious.

The advert shows the bond between a mother and her son. Every day, the mother leaves a letter for her son giving him important life lessons along with some cupcake to go with it. The ad film is definitely emotional and leaves a good impact on the audience. The only flaw that I saw in it was the length of it. Perhaps if the brand edited it a tad more, it could have further looked and felt better.

The actors in the film are all from India. The leading lady is Khalida Jan and the other cast members are Kabir Shaikh, Ujjwal Chopra, Anil Khopkar and Arash Shukla. The film has been directed by Vivek Kakkad and the background music has been done by Abhishek Arora of Beatcrush Productions.
