Watch’s emotional ad film

Simplicity is a beautiful tool which thankfully is finding its place back in our films and advertisements.  Today, I came across one such subtly crafted ad film – ‘Appu’ for a travel based website –

From the first glimpse itself, the video attracts you towards it. A young boy is seen running around what looks like Gujarat’s Kutch. He is accompanied by his mother who keeps whistling at him. With the use of voice over her happiness is made visible. The revelation, in the end, will surely make you smile. I’ll leave it for you to watch it yourself.

Honestly, it doesn’t look like the best of cameras were used to shoot this one. Maybe it was because of the shining sun or some other constraint. But it doesn’t matter because, despite that, the film looks stunning.

This advertisement was conceptualised by Publicis India and directed by Kamlesh Soni (Conversation Films) in April 2017. It surely is #AnAdDoneWell.
