Quick Heal following Airtel’s footsteps

Product differentiation is an important part of marketing. If you google it, then the top search result will tell you that “product differentiation is the process of distinguishing a product or service from others, to make it more attractive to a particular target market.”

Very unfortunately Quick Heal – the antivirus software brand failed to understand this concept. I can say that with confidence because their brand new television commercial looks very similar to the Airtel 4G ad.

Not only the makers (Thoughtshop Advertising) hired the same actress, Shasha Chettri, but they also made her act and speak in the same fashion which she did in the Airtel ad. It isn’t an alien world news that the actress is commonly called ‘Airtel 4G girl’. Despite this, no visible attempt was made to bring something new to the table.

No wonder the official video only has 3000 views on YouTube with merely 16 likes.

You could have done better Quick Heal. Good luck for the next one.
